BSA Troop 228 offers a year-round program for boy scouts ages 11-18 that provides fun, adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility to help them become the best version of themselves. In addition to camping, Scouts and Adult Leaders enjoy a wide variety of fun activities such as hiking, canoeing, rafting, kayaking, sailing, ziplining, skiing, climbing, as well as exciting trips to local/regional/national historical and other sights of interest which are held frequently year-round.

What is BSA All about?  The BSA is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations.  The BSA program for young people has three aims:

1) To Build Character

      —Build self-reliance, self-discipline and self-respect

2) To Foster Citizenship

     —To foster love of community, country and world along with the commitment of service to others and an understanding of democratic principles

3) To Develop Fitness

      —To develop physical, mental, emotional, and moral fitness that will stay with the Scout the rest of their life

Weekly Troop Meetings are held on Monday nights when school is in session from 7:00pm to 8:30pm — either at the Mt. Horeb Elementary School in Warren or outdoors at the Elks’ Pavilion in Warren.
